At Bloomlogic, we're building the digital operating system and marketplace for the $125B U.S. ornamental plant nursery industry. This massive market still runs primarily on paper and spreadsheets, causing billions in waste. We're creating a modern, real-time platform to orchestrate the entire lifecycle of a plant, from propagation to install, connecting a fragmented industry and helping it flourish. With funding and customer commitment from major growers in hand, plus direct advisory engagement from accredited industry experts, we have a strong foundation to build upon. We’re now looking for a Founding Engineer to help us position the company for long-term technical excellence and success.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the development of the Bloomlogic platform, ensuring it is robust, scalable, and intuitive.
• Collaborate with the horticulture industry to solve real-world problems at the intersection of software and agriculture.
• Engineer and deploy high-quality, production-ready software in rapid iterations, maintaining tight feedback loops with end users.
• Develop intelligent features that provide insights from operational data, such as forecasting and analytics.
• Build a unified platform for nursery operations, enabling real-time visibility and purchasing in a B2B marketplace.
• Establish the DNA of a world-class engineering culture and technical excellence.
• Partner with leadership to drive the product roadmap and technical vision.

• Product-obsessed engineer – builds elegant, lasting solutions with attention to detail.
• Customer-obsessed engineering mindset - relentless focus on building elegant, user-friendly solutions for complex problems; you sweat the details that actually make a difference to customers and avoid "shiny object syndrome".
• Full-stack expertise – experienced and comfortable architecting scalable systems., but also willing and able to build along side the team as an individual contributor. Exposure to our tech stack (Next.js, Typescript, React Native Mobile iOS and Android, Postgres) is preferred, but strictly secondary to knowledge and experience with software engineering best practices.
• Track record of success – proven ability to build impactful products in high-growth or early-stage environments.
• Bias for shipping – you move with urgency, make intelligent trade-offs, and understand that value is created by what you deploy, not what you design; you balance efficient use of AI-assisted coding tools with your core engineering skills to ensure both quality and speed.
• Technical leadership – you foster psychological safety, dependability, clear communication, structure, and purpose (Refer to Google’s "Project Aristotle" for more info.)
• Passion for agriculture – genuine interest in the industry and its transformation.
